The Counselling I Offer
Traditional counselling offers various means and techniques within a safe confidential space to work through, and come to terms with various life traumas and situations that have arisen or impacted on you as an individual, couple or group. I can offer a diverse set of counselling techniques to deal with life adjustments, building self esteem, trauma, abuse counselling and much more to suit your circumstances, experiences and end goals. Please find below a list of the counselling services I offer, if you select the one that meets your needs and requirements it will give you a clearer idea of what can be offered. If you are unsure of what you require please feel free to contact me so we can discuss your needs and requirements.
One to One Counselling
I can offer a diverse set of counselling techniques to deal with life adjustments, building self esteem, trauma, abuse counselling and much more to suit your circumstances, experiences and end goals. We would asses this on an individual basis after an initial assessment. £40 an hour
As this involves two individuals I would assess each individuals needs, with the intention of working towards a common goal in your relationship development. I initially talk with you individually so you can openly express your needs, where you are now and where you wish to be, as that maybe not possible while together but also to see where you are both at within your relationship. £40 an hour
Under group counselling I can offer:
DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) which is a therapeutic process involving four elements, one to one counselling with a specific and dedicated counsellor, a weekly group therapy overseen by three counsellors allowing support and intervention, access to a vast variety of supportive resources and finally a dedicated therapist assigned to you who you can reach out to when needed as part of your support system. This can all be provided as a support network within a family unit, the education system and other organisations, for example CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and Social Services.
Mindfulness Group Therapy comes originally from a Buddhist and meditative background offering participants the opportunity to step back from the mental narrative and emotional discordance associated with the daily stresses which can contribute and culminate in poor mental health. To illustrate this, in the giving nature of counselling, please follow the external link to STOP (Stop, take a breath, observe and proceed) which offers a FREE experience of one of the mindfulness exercises to give you a taster and idea of what can be offered towards your development to a better healthier you.
PSTEC (Percussive Suggestion Technique) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) both of which are simple, effective energetic techniques to allow the facilitation of an emotional shift in well established thoughts and beliefs that have undermined and impacted upon your life choices. If gives an individual, couples or a family a simple process to manage their holistic (mind, body, spirit and soul) health and well-being.
It should be noted I can offer a variety of other techniques and methods that are not listed here. These can be offered as I become aware of your circumstances and what is required to bring you to a better place in life, and a more empowered you. £POA
Children and Young People
This can be offered on a one to one basis, as part of family unit and within an educational environment, and in understanding the needs of children in the modern world and knowing how this maybe a more comfortable and familiar environment than meeting face to face, Counselling can also be facilitated within a chat app environment while still offering the privacy and security required. This privacy and security is offered within an encrypted chat app. The basis of this counselling is assessed on an individual basis. £40 an hour
Via the online medium of Skype I can offer support and counselling wherever you are in the world. This maybe because of the distance involved, because you have life with little free time or because you feel more comfortable engaging in this way instead of face to face. It is not to possible to offer this service to groups for obvious reasons but is an effective medium for individuals and couples. The form of therapy and service I offer is assessed based on the needs of the client/s when we have established what is required to support you in your development and moving forward in life. £40 an hour
